Newly released Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter video shows a woman leading troopers on a high-speed chase, crashing, then taking off on foot while holding her infant in a baby carrier before trying to carjack a woman.

The footage was released on Friday by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

She then climbed into another vehicle containing a woman and child.

The SUV could be seen speeding down a busy highway, at one point hitting 100 miles per hour, before running over a tire deflation device that disabled her front tire, police said.

In the video, Rodriguez is seen traveling over 100 miles per hour down Highway 90 before rear ending a pickup that was stopped at a red light.

After running a red light, she later ploughed her vehicle into the back of another auto.

The woman arrested was identified as Catilyn Rodriquez.

Troopers pulled Rodriguez out of the auto and restrained her. The driver of that vehicle left the auto, taking a child from the backseat, before the police arrived.

The Bexar County event was captured on camera in June and reportedly led to the Rodriguez being charged with endangering a child, possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.

Troopers blocked the vehicle and got everyone out.

Rodriguez is seen getting out of the SUV, grabbing a baby in a vehicle seat from the back, and running to another SUV which investigators say she tried to carjack. The infant was not harmed in the incident and was released to the care of Child Protective Services, authorities said.
