Meghan Markle Wears Altuzzara Suit For WellChild Awards

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be dressed to the nines for the glittering WellChild Awards in central London. And it wasn't wearing wedges.

Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were in attendance at the 2018 WellChild Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Tuesday (September 4) in London, England. The newlyweds arrived in matching suits.

The WellChild Awards are an annual ceremony recognizing the bravery of seriously ill children and their caregivers.

Taken in December 2016 (a few months after she began dating Prince Harry), Meghan spent the Christmas holidays staying in LA with her close friend Benita Litt, her husband Darren Litt and their two daughters Rylan Litt, 7, and Remi Litt, 6, (yes, if only they had a son named Louis). "Award categories include "Most Caring Young Person", "Nurse Award" and '2018 Inspirational Young Person" (for varying age groups).

Oz is a common nickname for Australia so it could be that the Duke and Duchess have paid homage to the country, one of the members of the Commonwealth.

Speaking at the event, Prince Harry said: "Every one of you is truly incredible. You have shown all of us what it means to be a champion - whether for yourself, your family, your community, or someone in need", He told guests and honourees. Meghan went the classic route with a crisply tailored black pantsuit from designer Altuzarra. Meghan had a bit of an embarrassing slip up on the pair's date night at the Hamilton performance gala.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have added to their family. Namely, her grandma-in-law Queen Elizabeth's. Matilda had watched the royal wedding and was very nervous about meeting them but they completely put us at ease. During tenure on the hit HBO legal series, Suits, Markle's on-screen character Rachel Zane was defined by her love for sharp, sleek power looks. We look forward to seeing them at their next outing.

Keep up the good work guys!
