Yaya Toure 'has passed a medical in London', claims agent

His agent Dimitry Seluk, who is known for being outspoken, hinted the player had passed a medical in London on Twitter.

He confirmed the player is not moving to West Ham or Crystal Palace in follow-up posts.

There is no indication as to whether the midfielder was conducting a medical with a London-based club, or used the capital as a convenient location to carry out the tests for a foreign side.

The Ivorian is a free agent after his contract at the Etihad wasn't renewed, and he looks set for a move back to Athens.

Toure, 35, is now unattached having left City at the end of last season, bringing to a close his eight-year association with the club.

He added: "It's not West Ham, 100%". "Yaya is a champion".

You never know. but hopefully kolo has said to him to come to Celtic. stranger things have happened lol. "Can Yaya go there?"

It is unclear where the 35-year-old multiple Premier League victor is close to signing.

However, with the English transfer window and registration for the Premier League now closed until January, Toure would not be able to officially register for a London club until the start of 2019 - keeping him out of competitive action for the first half of the season. He also won the FA Cup twice, along with two Community Shields, while he also played in the Champions League final defeat to Barcelona.

The Ivory Coast global moved to the Greek side in 2005 and won the double.
