Michael Moore’s Trump documentary will release in September

In that same vein, Moore's new project is bound to explore what America has become under Trump, as well as the possible connotations his administration will have for the country's future.

The trailer includes footage of Trump rallies, neo-Nazi protests, Roger Stone, Parkland shooting survivors, and Moore himself hosing down the gated lawn of MI governor Rick Snyder with water from Flint. The clip refers to Trump as "the last president of the United States".

"People should not come expecting that [Moore] is just going to be shooting Donald Trump in a barrel with jokes". The date refers to when Trump was declared victor of the 2016 election: November 9th. The Bowling for Columbine director is also seen spraying "Flint water" into the front yard of Rick Snyder, the governor of MI.

It's the latest offering from Moore aimed directly at the effect of Trump following on from his filmed one-man talk Michael Moore in TrumpLand and his Broadway show The Terms of My Surrender.

Michael Moore, the liberal filmmaker responsible for "Bowling for Columbine", debuted the trailer for his new documentary on Thursday where he calls President Donald Trump, the "last President of the United States".

Fahrenheit 11/9 will release on September 21. He emphasizes that having "hope" alone is passive, saying our nation should not rely on this to solve our problems. "Hope gives you permission to let someone else do the work".

Moore has previously said Trump will win the next presidential election in 2020 but speaking to chat show host Bill Maher in June, he said: "I'm finishing my movie and getting it out before the midterms because I want millions of people to get to the polls". We don't need hope.

Fahrenheit 11/9 will have its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2018. "Hope, and the passivity that comes with it, is what helped get us here to begin with". HuffPost also premiered a trailer for Fahrenheit 11/9, which drops on September 21.
