Jose Mourinho Manchester United will likely sign one more player

Mourinho is still without a number of players, who reached the latter stages in Russian Federation, and made clear his preference that they cut their breaks early to aid preparations for the season opener against Leicester on August 10.

Manchester United had only five senior outfield players in training on Monday after Eric Bailly, Ander Herrera and Chris Smalling sat out ahead of the International Champions Cup clash with Real Madrid. The stadium was empty.

"I just hope the boys [who are] on deserved holidays, take care of themselves a little bit", Mourinho said after the second-half collapse against Liverpool.

"I told you guys the other day in the media that I don't think we have worse players than any other team in the league, that's first of all".

Premier League side Manchester United were unsuccessful in their plot to offload French forward Anthony Martial to PSG.

"We're trying to play these matches as best we can".

"I think it's possible I'm going to have one".

"Probably, he's not frustrated about the club or the market, he's probably frustrated because he's not able to work with the players that he's going to have for the season". "We've played against quality opponents".

The Welshman has been entrusted with leading the attack for the start of the season and his performances in the United States and the upcoming UEFA Super Cup will be key in determining how the club go about signing a new striker.

"We start the game with nearly half the players who are not even going to belong to our squad on August 9 [transfer deadline day]".

Matic has flown back to Manchester, joining skipper Antonio Valencia, who left the tour early with a torn calf muscle, while striker Anthony Martial remains in Paris having also left the U.S. for the birth of his second child. I think he's a team boy, a great boy and an honest man, honest to give everything for the team. Now we have Real Madrid and after that Bayern Munich.

Tottenham Hotspur remain hugely keen on the player, but there is so far absolutely no change to United's stance that he will not be sold within the Premier League.

"It's also hard for us but we knew in advance before coming that it was going to be like this".
