Google will soon bring more access to technology and product experiences

At an annual Google event in New Delhi, Caesar Sengupta, the Vice-President of Google's Next Billion Users initiative and its Payments said the move would make banking services accessible to tens of millions of Indians. The company has partnered with Federal, HDFC, ICICI and Kotak Mahindra banks for this. "Users tap a call to action in the ad extension such as "Get a quote" or "Sign up", and then reach a customizable, Google-hosted form, prefilled with information shared by the users, with the option to edit to submit their inquiry", Spalding adds.

Since launching in 2017, Google Go has accrued millions of users by offering a stripped-back browsing experience for those with limited internet speeds or device storage.

The new update for Google Go is meant to make the app more accessible to users. "In fact, Google Assistant usage has tripled in India since a year ago", the company said.

Keeping in mind that India now has almost 450 million internet users with 390 being active on a monthly basis, the country's data usage has skyrocketed to 8GB per month, which is at par with users in developed nations around the world. "At the moment, nothing is changing about the experience in India other than the name", he added.

Google mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is Samsung's first Android Go phone.

According to the Google Pay offer, there are a total of 50 million rewards on offer, so it's likely that anyone who meets the reward offer criteria will win some kind of reward.

Meanwhile, the audio playback is a new feature that is coming on Google Go that lets users listen to webpages.

It also launched a bilingual version of Google Assistant that can seamlessly switch between Hindi and English, as well as a Marathi version of its artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant.

The service supports 28 languages, including prominent Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil. Under this, a user is provider with a tool that uses AI to render any PDF containing Indian language content into editable text, which helps the publishers create mobile-friendly content.

It will soon learn seven more Indian languages, Google said. "And thanks to a new partnership with RedBus - India" India's largest inter-city bus ticketing service - more than 20,000 routes and 1,500 cities will also be added for intercity bus journey routes.

Previously, Google had partnered with RailTel to offer Wi-Fi access across 400 railway stations in the country.
