Cyberpunk 2077's 48-minute gameplay demo has hit the web

It will still be a long wait before players can experience that story for themselves, but in the meantime, you can check out 48 minutes of gameplay by clicking above!

Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and risky metropolis of the future - Night City. CD Projekt RED began a mysterious livestream earlier this afternoon, and we now know what they were counting down to - the full gameplay reveal as shown behind closed doors at E3 and Gamescom. Instead, you'll be making your own character from scratch with a robust character creation system.

Over the last few months, CD Projekt Red took the time to polish the demo to show the public and well, it looks insane. You can be male or female, choose your backstory, modify your face and body, and customize your initial attributes (like a pen and paper RPG).

"Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for at least six years and its team recently hit a major milestone-the entire game is playable from start to finish". "Since numerous assets and mechanics in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 are most likely to be modified, we initially made a decision to show this gameplay only to media".

"However, we are also well aware that many of you want to see what the media saw", he added. Announced in May 2012, Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person, open-world RPG adapted from the tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.

After the 9 hours of weird footage including a combination of numbers, symbols, and letters, we have been finally led to an overwhelming 48 minutes of gameplay footage. Please go to our forums, twitter, Facebook, discord, and do tell what you think.

Having just received their first major contract, V becomes embroiled in Night City's seamy, dark corners where you'll find cyber-enhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers.
