Klopp reveals Alisson, Shaqiri start dates

We caught up with Jürgen Klopp at the team hotel in Charlotte yesterday.

"I do not know that, I can not say what I'm doing right now, there's still some time left [in the transfer window]". "We have the highest ambitions, 100 percent".

"It is nice we are going to be on the same team, although the other teams in Italy are not so happy about that".

"I don't think it's too important to try it because it happened past year", Klopp said.

But Klopp has been highly impressed with Sturridge's attitude since his return to pre-season and will give the forward an opportunity to play a key role this year. We can not talk about winning something before we start the season.

The world record acquisition of Alisson brought the club's spending to £170 million so they're looking to make some of that money back.

The Englishman has not had the best time at the Reds since scoring 24 goals in all competitions during 2013/14, including 21 in the Premier League, as Liverpool went close to winning the title.

The Brazil worldwide became the world's most expensive goalkeeper when he moved from Roma in a deal that could rise to £65million.

"I don't want to make him the most physically strong player in the squad or whatever". It is yet to be seen who is paired up with Van Dijk at the back but it is fair to say that on paper Liverpool seem like a far more balanced side than they did in previous years.

"All Liverpool fans hope they can put some pressure onto City".

"So that's all, but he's fit and all the training sessions look good".

Which players are Liverpool most likely to sell and sign this summer, according to 888sport?

Sturridge spoke to the Liverpool website about his new role. But I always did my best. I don't read it, so I don't feel it. "He has got everything".

Jurgen Klopp has praised Curtis Jones' ability and confidence as a player, but believes he still has plenty of improving to do to establish himself at Liverpool.

Danny Ings and Divock Origi are the two players expected to attract the largest fees, with six others also not in Klopp's plans this season and the sales could add up to £100m.

Winger Lazar Markovic and midfielder Pedro Chiravella are also expected to leave while loans could be arranged for Ben Woodburn, Marko Grujic and Sheyi Ojo.

That's right. Klopp's side have been decisive in this transfer window, snapping up the likes of Fabinho and Naby Keita, but can they actually win it?
