George Clooney Motorcycle Crash Video, New Details Emerge

The driver of the auto that struck George Clooney as he was riding a motor scooter on the Italian island of Sardinia apparently had no idea the man who hit his windshield and went flying is a Hollywood superstar.

George Clooney has been involved in an accident.

Clooney was driving a motor scooter to work on Tuesday morning when he collided with a Mercedes making a sudden left turn. Clooney was lucky that another incoming auto, a pickup truck, didn't run him over, as he fell right in front of it on the road.

La Nuova reported he was found to have a slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one leg and arm, but his condition was not serious. Clooney was also seen being treated on the side of the road before being transported to a hospital.

Despite the extent of the crash, George was rushed to hospital by ambulance and was later released with non-life threatening injuries and told to recuperate at home.

George was treated by doctors, before being discharged the same morning and leaving the premises in a chauffeur driven vehicle. Upon his discharge from the hospital, they were driven away in a minivan.

"George was treated and released from an Olbia hospital".

"The auto driver called the 112, the emergency number of Carabinieri, and they sent the Municipal Police, an ambulance and the Fire Dept".

The accident took place on the Italian island of Sardina, where Clooney is filming Hulu's Catch 22.
