Cher and Meryl Streep share a kiss at 'Mamma Mia' premiere

Here We Go Again was every bit as delightful as the first, fusing the untold, charming story of Donna's past, with the widely assumed guesses about her future.

They were joined by other cast members, including Amanda Seyfried, Lily James, Christine Baranski, Jessica Keenan Wynn and Alexa Davies, as well as ABBA band member Benny Andersson at the premiere.

The film premiered today in London and the whole cast was there, including Cher and Meryl Streep.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hits theaters July 20, but a few lucky viewers have already gotten a sneak peek of the musical's sequel. But I won't spoil that for you.

Cher said that her creative spirit was rekindled after singing one of the signature tunes on "Mamma Mia!".

The pair previously worked together on the 1983 drama Silkwood and, although this is the first time since then that they have starred alongside one another, Cher felt more relaxed knowing that she'd have the actress on hand to help her.

"I don't know what I was expecting but I walked onto the set and I just thought everyone's just having fun", Cher said. She performs ABBA's Fernando in the film with Andy Garcia, who plays hotel manager Fernando Cienfuegos.

For the sequel, Cher depicts the mother of Donna, played again by Meryl Streep, as she figures out how to act like a grandmother. Writer-director Ol Parker said that "people brought their husbands, wives, children and dogs" to watch the scene being filmed.
