Trump deserves more latitude and less attitude

Japanese news outlets say officials are seeking to arrange a summit between Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Don't let anyone think anything different.

At one point, after watching North Korean television, which is entirely state-run, the president talked about how positive the female North Korean news anchor was toward Kim, according to two people familiar with his remarks.

"I would like to re-extend, and ask you to convey to the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un, our invitation to visit Russia", Putin told Kim Yong-nam, chairman of the presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea, according to a transcript by the Kremlin.

The report suggests the deal signed by Trump and Kim Jong Un failed to guarantee North Korea would commit to "full, irreversible, and verifiable denuclearization".

And when Stephanopoulos pressed Trump how how "he is going to know that [Kim] is keeping his word", all Trump could say is "we're going to be following things, we're going to be monitoring things".

North Korea has perpetuated human rights abuses for decades, according to watchdog agencies, human rights groups and the U.S. government.

Hoping it would become an opportunity for the two leaders to cultivate and solidify mutual trust, the Blue House predicted if the phone call actually takes place on Sunday U.S. time, it would likely be Trump and Kim discussing how to implement the joint statement adopted during the June 12 summit. "I don't want to see a nuclear weapon destroy you and your family".

"But more importantly than the document, I have a good relationship with Kim Jong Un", he said, adding that they have "great chemistry together".

"I can't speak to that", he said.

-North Korea has not said it blew up launch sites. "North Korea is the only country in the world that executes people for making unauthorized worldwide phone calls".

"The denuclearization deal with North Korea is being praised and celebrated all over Asia", Trump wrote.

Previously, "they would never have dreamed of Trump halting the joint manoeuvres with South Korea and mentioning possibly withdrawing troops from the South in the future".

'That's my term. They might use it, ' Trump said.

But given Mr. Kim's declaration that the [the two leaders] had a "historic meeting and chose to leave the past behind" and that "the world will see a major change", things will perhaps be different this time around!

"I said I'd like to halt it because it's bad to be negotiating and doing it", he said.
