Trump accuses Pelosi of being an 'MS-13 lover'

Democrats are "bad at everything, but they're good at sticking together" in Congress, Trump said as he campaigned for Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.

Trump's appearance in Nashville was a new phase of heightened campaign activity for the president as he looks toward the midterm elections, keeping an early focus on the deeply conservative states he won handily in 2016 and steering clear of politically competitive areas where his presence could be riskier.

She credited him for putting Neil Gorsuch on the U.S. Supreme Court, filling many other federal court seats, slashing taxes and "standing up to China and North Korea".

Trump is hailing Blackburn as a very early supporter of his presidential campaign and a "very wonderful woman".

Trump criticized Bredesen for being backed by national Democrats, including the Senate and House leaders. He's also eyeing states where Republicans candidates face tough Democratic opponents.

"Somebody turned their hand in the wrong direction", Trump said without naming McCain, referring to the senator's thumbs-down gesture indicating his "no" vote. He went on to label Bredesen a "total, absolute tool" of Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and Pelosi. One part is to use the plainspoken and racy rhetoric most Americans use in private.

And Democrats are seeing their overall mid-term advantage shrink.

Country music star Trace Adkins performed a patriotic song in honor of fallen soldiers and military veterans, before launching into "Ladies Love Country Boys", which he said Trump requested for his daughter, Ivanka.

Trump also spoke about other topics at the rally, including tax reform, jobs and wages, the US moving its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem, Sen. Bernie Sanders, in his words, "getting screwed" out of his party's nomination.

"When you win the presidency, for some reason you always end up losing the House", Trump told supporters in Nashville.

Similarly, during the 2010 campaign, the then-candidate "faced allegations of violent behavior toward his ex-wife, such as dry-firing a gun outside the bedroom door while she was inside". The Tennessee crowd booed.

There was the usual shot at the media the Lock Her Up chants about Hillary Clinton. The Tennessee campaign is among several races crucial to Trump's plans to maintain control of the Senate, where Republicans are defending a narrow two-seat majority.

One concern among White House aides and Republican congressional leaders is complacency among House GOP incumbents. The latter's average of three polls shows Bredesen with a 5 percentage point lead.

"How do you like the fact they had people infiltrating our campaign", Trump said, referring to a conspiracy theory he has branded "Spygate", in which he argues that Democratic operatives doing the bidding of President Barack Obama spied on him to block his election.

This was the President's third time in Tennessee since taking office. "In Washington, he'll vote in the best interests of Tennessee and Tennesseans".

According to Politifact, "calculations by (determine that) Trump actually ranked last in legislation signed among post-World War II presidents in their first calendar year who took office on the regular four -year cycle". "They're more interested in taking care of criminals than they are in taking care of you".

He called Democrats "lousy on policy", playing on his supporters' fears by labeling that party as in favor of "open borders".

Very quickly Mexico replied: no we won't.
