Kevin Love wants to remain with Cleveland, finish career with LeBron James

Another suspenseful summer of "Where will LeBron go next?" is off and running.

Even though the Warriors were pushed to the brink of elimination by the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals, it always felt as though Golden State had everything under control.

James finished with 23 points and spent the final minutes on the bench, contemplating what went wrong and maybe his next move. Few could fault Golden State for re-signing a player with his physical tools to a one-year, minimum contract.

Durant's play was a big reason why, especially his 43-point, 13-rebound, seven-assist performance in a nail-biting Game 3.

Cleveland's season ended on Friday in the NBA Finals, and for the third time in four years it came against the Warriors and without a championship.

"I let the emotions get the best of me, " James said. "So sitting down and considering everything, my family is a huge part of whatever I'll decide to do in my career, and it will continue to be that", James said. I don't have an answer for you right now as far as that.... LeBron has to notify the team of his intentions by June 29.

And not surprisingly, Kevin Love's name has been mentioned as the most tradeable asset now on the roster, especially when paired with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. His preference, though, is to stay with the Cavs. In the eastern conference, the Philadelphia 76ers have a young and up and coming team that features young talent in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

Only Bill Russell's Boston Celtics, the "Showtime" Lakers and the Los Angeles squad led by Kobe and Shaq, and Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls have been as dominant in such a short period of time. Before joining the pursuit for LeBron, the Rockets will first need to convince Chris Paul to sign a new contract. My responsibility is to whatever team I play for. They would have been swept a year ago if not for hitting 24 of 45 3-point shots in Game 4 at The Q to win, 136-117.

"Knowing that it's a business - I know that's cliché to say - take it in stride", Love said.

Hall of Fame center Wilt Chamberlain (2-4 in the NBA Finals) is considered the most dominant force of his time, much like LeBron.

There was George Hill's missed free throw that would have won the game in regulation, J.R. Smith's brain freeze when he lost track of the score, the timeout that Cavs coach Tyronn Lue left unused and the many calls the Cavs didn't agree with.

"James stands to make about $35 million next season whether he opts out or not". "This is the best place for me to just play ball, work on my game, play ball, and not care about [expletive] that normal National Basketball Association superstars are supposed to care about".

"Yeah, I do", Lue said after Game 4 on if he planed do come back, despite dealing with anxiety issues that kept him away from the team for nine games last season. But I like to be here.
