Mohamed Salah Injury: Barcelona players have Sergio Ramos theory

Sergio Ramos has been accused of "practising" the arm grapple foul on Mohamed Salah that has put the Liverpool star's World Cup dream in jeopardy in last year's Champions League final.

Ramos apologised after the match, but Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson hinted the Madrid captain knew what he was doing when he collided with the Egyptian. "This is the most exciting Liverpool team I've seen for a very long time".

"Despite the odds, I am sure I will be in Russian Federation so that you are all proud. Your love and support will give me the strength I need".

Egyptians took to social media to vent their frustration over Salah's injury and blame Ramos for causing it, using Arabic's rich and colorful range of expletives. Despite the injury, the EFA released a statement declaring that Salah will be ready to play in the World Cup.

Russian worldwide midfielder Alan Dzagoev hopes Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah would be able to join the Egyptian national team in the World Cup in Russia which will start on the 14th of June. "He will participate in the World Cup and everything will be fine, God willing", said Mahmoud Saad, a Salah and Real Madrid fan, as he watched the match at a cafe in downtown Cairo. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been in touch with Salah and expects the country's leading man to be fit for action.

And he became Public Enemy No. 1 after tangling with Salah early in the final, which Real Madrid eventually won 3-1.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said after the game.

Asked what Klopp said at half-time the Holland worldwide added: "He said that it looked like we were devastated about Mo but we had to let it go and change because it could not change".

Petition supporters point out that Ramos intentionally injured Salah and in their opinion, he set a bad example for future generations of players.

"With Mo Salah we are a better team", the midfielder told Liverpoolfc.com.

The quadrennial showpiece kicks off on June 14 and Egypt, who are in Group A, open their campaign on June 15 when they take on South American side Uruguay at the Ekaterinburg Arena in Ekaterinburg.
