Bills OG Richie Incognito 'strongly considering' retirement

According to Peter King, with Sports Illustrated, the Buffalo Bills guard is "strongly considering" retirement. The veteran recently restructured the final year of his contract, as he took a slight pay cut to free up some cap space for the Bills.

Clearly, losing Incognito and the other linemen is going to impact McCoy, who's been one of the NFL's best running backs the past few years in Buffalo running behind them. My liver and kidneys are shutting down.

Incognito also said there was "absolutely not" a chance that he would change his mind.

Of his anger over his pay cut, Incognito told the News on Tuesday, "There's more to that story, there's many layers, but I don't want to get into that right now. The stress is killing me", Incognito told the Buffalo News.

Incognito is also the subject of an National Football League investigation after Jacksonville defensive end Yannick Ngakoue accused the Bills player of making racist slurs during the Jaguars' 10-3 win over Buffalo in an AFC wild-card playoff game in January. "The contract and all that pissed me the f off and all that, but (retiring) has nothing to do with that", Incognito said, via the Buffalo News. "And that's it", Incognito said.

The 34-year-old has started all 16 games in each of the last three seasons for the Bills. It was heavily hinted at by Martin that he was bullied by the former Cornhusker because he was black. Martin wrote suicide and revenge were the only options for a victim of bullying.

Incognito, who turns 35 in July, made the Pro Bowl four times, including three times with the Bills.

Incognito's potential retirement would mark the third high-profile departure from the Bills' offensive line this offseason. Buffalo also traded starting left tackle Cordy Glenn to Cincinnati last month.
