Barricaded gunman kills officer, injures 2nd victim near Dallas

A police officer in a Dallas suburb in Texas was shot dead while responding to a disturbance call at an apartment complex on Wednesday, February 7, night.

In Michigan, 25-year-old Detroit Police Officer Glenn Doss Jr. was shot responding to a domestic violence call January 24.

A Texas officer was fatally shot while responding to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex.

Officers, in the meantime, gathered at Medical City Plano, where the officer was taken, according to Fox 4 News.

The shooter fled, and he is said to be inside an apartment, and officers are negotiating with him.

Richardson police did not identify the officer killed, the Dallas Morning News reports. No word on the civilian's condition at this time.

Police said a male civilian was also wounded in the shooting.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said police had the apartment covered from which the gunman fired from until he was taken into custody around 11:45 p.m.
