Rated WR Calvin Ridley declares for National Football League draft

Ridley spent three years at Alabama, with his tenure culminating in his second national championship on Monday night.

Multiple outlets are reporting that Alabama redshirt junior RB Bo Scarbrough will forego his final season of eligibility to enter the 2018 NFL Draft. Still, if Ridley has indeed reached his proverbial ceiling, the finished product looks like an National Football League receiver who will have a solid career for years to come.

"In announcing my entrance into the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft, I know that those who come after me will take this program to even greater heights", he wrote. "The future of this program is indeed in great hands".

Ranked No. 3 by Kiper in his draft-eligible position rankings, Payne had six tackles against Georgia in the title game, and a key interception and a touchdown reception against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl.

Ridley also had 19 career touchdowns.

This is certainly not surprising news, as Ridley will likely be a first-round pick. He had 63 catches for 967 yards while no other wide receiver caught more than 14 balls.

Scarbrough was a top recruit coming out of high school and returned to his home state of Alabama to sign with the Crimson Tide after playing in IMG's inaugural season.
