Reliance Jio, which has changed the dynamics of price game in telecom sector since its entery, on Tuesday announced a new republic day offer.

Rs 448: Similarly, the 1.5GB data per day for 84 days under this plan can get your limit extended to 2GB data per day with Republic Day's offer. Airtel, on the other hand, also has a similar plan priced at Rs 448.

Idea's Rs 199 prepaid tariff plan is valid for 28 days, and with 1.4GB data per day offering, the overall data benefit becomes 39GB. Now with these updated tariff plans, Reliance Jio has further increased the data allocations to customers across the company's full range of plans and packs.

Stepping up the tariff war, Reliance Jio has chose to offer 500 MB extra data to its subscribers using 1GB and 1.5GB per day data packs with effect from January 26, according to company sources. Still it offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Airtel has revised three prepaid plans - Airtel Plan 199, Airtel Plan 448 & Airtel Plan 509. Quite, all Jio clients get free boundless voice calls, SMS and access to Jio's suite of applications. As a result, the most popular Rs 459 plan will now cost Rs 399 only, and offer 1.5GB data per day with a validity of 84 days.

Rs 349: Jio has several options in the long-term validity plans. In comparison, Airtel's plan offers 1GB daily 3G/4G data, with validity of 28 days. Now the validity has risen from 14 days to 28 days. These plans of Airtel comes under the Airtel Prepaid Promise. So customers will now get more data with the Rs. 198, Rs. 398, Rs. 448 and Rs. 498 plans. It slashed the price by Rs 50 and introduced 1.5GB per day plans. Earlier the 4G data was limited to 1GB/day. Rest of the benefits are same to all unlimited plans of Airtel.
