On the big-screen side, writer-director Martin McDonagh's dark drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was the biggest victor, receiving six nominations and four awards over the course of the night. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, won best picture, drama, and star Frances McDormand was named best actress in a motion picture, drama.

The French drama "Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri" enjoyed the best possible luck in the ceremony, It took home as many as four globes from the 75th annual Golden Globes.

But McDonagh did win Best Screenplay, as mentioned above. The Shape of Water was the most nominated film this year and it largely missed out, but for Del Toro's victory and a nod for Alexandre Desplat's attractive score.

Moss previously won a Globe for best actress in a miniseries or TV movie for "Top of the Lake".
