Young YouTube Star Makes Millions Reviewing Toys

"Ryan was watching a lot of toy review channels - some of his favourites are EvanTubeHD and Hulyan Maya - because they used to make a lot of videos about Thomas the Tank Engine, and Ryan was super into Thomas", she said.

Ryan is the star of the YouTube channel Ryan'sToysReview and placed at number eight on Forbes' list. He's reportedly the youngest YouTube star in the world. Ryan ToysReviews has over 10 million subscribers - subscribers which, according to a report carried by The Verge, earn Ryan and his family $1 million a month from revenue generated through advertising.

Now, let us see how Ryan is making money on YouTube.

The little boy is one of Forbe's highest-earners.

Ryan is reviewing toys from the age of four.

Ryan, whose surname is unknown, makes $US11 million per year just by opening and reviewing new toys. The answer to that is a video empire that's gone from simple homespun toy reviewing productions to videos of the boy's life beyond him "unboxing" toys.

It now has close to 800 million views.

The channel now reviews new toys or kids' food products, and the videos usually feature earnest and enthusiastic commentary from Ryan with off-camera guidance from his parents. In this popular video, he unpacks a giant Easter egg containing Pixar Cars toys and playing with them on a toy slide, back in July 2015.

The channel is described as a "toy reviews for kids by a kid", and boasts a large online following with over 10 million subscribers since its inception in March 2015.

"For the last 18 weeks and counting, Ryan ToysReview has been the most popular channel on YouTube in the United States, and the second largest in the world, a bigger attraction than household names like PewDiePie and Justin Bieber, and media empires like BuzzFeed, The Tonight Show, and the WWE".
