Mohamed Salah makes ominous prediction about his Liverpool FC form

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp chose to brush over Salah's 20-goal achievement, the first time a Reds player has hit that mark before Christmas since Ian Rush in 1986.

Since arriving from AS Roma in July, the winger has sped to 20 goals in just 26 appearances for the Reds, while striking trepidation into opposition defences.

Leaving the likes of Barcelona hit-man Luis Suarez, Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres and Liverpool legend Ian Rush in your wake is no easy task, but in bagging the victor in a 4-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, Reds attacker Mohamed Salah did just that - scoring his 20th goal of the season in only 26-appearances for the Anfield outfit.

Salah was part of the Chelsea side which won 2-0 at Anfield in April 2014 - a result which left Liverpool's title dreams in shreds, however Salah was impressed.

"We know he is a good player and everybody has to look out for him".

It was a big step in my career and I had a good relationship with the players there - and you could see that when we played them at Anfield recently.

If the pair do go, Liverpool may have to rely on their other stars to ensure progression to the next round of the cup.

"I can remember I told myself "I have to come here one day and play" after I'd experienced that atmosphere".

"That atmosphere was unbelievable, really".

Salah and Mane are both nominated for the main award, African Player of the Year, along with Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

'He knows what the Premier League is all about from his time here before and he's obviously learned and progressed in his time in Italy. "I did well and we performed well in the Europa League and Serie A. Before I went there, it was very clear in my mind: I deserve to play". I loved those kinds of players, players who played with magic.

"And I think I can get better, 100 per cent".
