Las Vegas police investigate armed robbery at Bellagio

Nobody even realized it was happening.

Las Vegas police are still searching for a man who robbed the Bellagio poker room cashier cage at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon. "Excellent staff, cool under pressure", Woods tweeted. Detectives are still attempting to identify the plastic bag used by the suspect during the robbery.

Actor James Woods says he witnessed a robbery at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas Tuesday night.

Las Vegas Metro has since issued a press release with two pictures of the robber taken from security camera footage.

The suspect approached the poker cage and demanded an unspecified amount of money.

Police said the robber entered through the valet area of the Bellagio.

John Pelletier said the man was wearing a wig, glasses and had partially masked his face at the time of the theft. Officers later described the robber as a white man between 30 and 40 years old, standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 to 170 pounds.

Las Vegas police are looking for a silver Chevrolet Cruze and asking for help identifying the vehicle with Nevada license plates.

MGM Resorts International, owner of the Bellagio, plans to work with investigators to identify the suspect.

But that person was said to not have cooperated with the suspect and helped police instead.
