Colorado unemployment rate inches up; fewer jobs added

This was down from 3.8 percent in September and down from 4.3 percent in October 2016.

Statistics released Friday by the Vermont Department of Labor shows that the October rate showed no change from September and is down from 3.2 percent in October of past year. Chase County has the lowest rate at 2 percent while Coffey County has the highest at 4.2 percent.

OH added 4,300 jobs in October as the state's unemployment rate fell to 5.1% from 5.3% in September.

However, looking at the year overall, employment was up by 1,000 and unemployment dropped by 58,000.

Meanwhile, the statewide unemployment rate hit a record low during October.

The labour force declined by about 4,900, from 3.965m in July to September to 3.960m in August to October 2017, according to China News.

In Lincoln, unemployment clocked in at 2.1 percent in October, down from 2.3 percent in September and from 2.8 percent last October. The Omaha metro area's rate of 2.4 percent also was the lowest in almost 20 years.

The number of workers unemployed in OH in October was 296,000, down 9,000 from 305,000 in September, according to the state data. Those gains exceeded losses in the information sector.

In October, Ohio employment in goods-producing industries, at 915,200, increased 3,000 over the month.

The largest increase in the last 12 months was 24,500 added jobs in professional and business services.
