Lupita Nyong'o accuses Harvey Weinstein of harassment

Lupita Nyong'o claims Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her on several occassions since 2011.

The "12 Years a Slave" star is the latest star to accuse the Hollywood producer of sexual harassment, alleging that when she refused his request she offered to massage him instead, and while doing so he later attempted to remove his pants, all while his kids were in the same building.

The then-28-year-old actress says she was invited to the producer's CT home, where he asked her to give him a private massage in his bedroom.

Once at his house, Nyong'o alleges Weinstein led her into a bedroom and offered to give her a massage.

"I thought he was joking at first".

"For the first time since I met him, I felt unsafe", Nyong'o wrote. The actress says she panicked and offered to give the producer one instead, he obliged, removed his shirt and laid down on the bed.

She added that she was trying to "buy time", to "figure out how to extricate" herself from the situation.

"Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and playwright Qulara Alegria Hudes want the Weinstein Company to give up the rights to their musical "In the Heights", and Amazon said it would no longer be developing a series involving David O. Russell, Julianne Moore, and Robert De Niro with the company. "I informed him that I would not", she wrote. I smiled again and said that I wouldn't. When she arrived at the restaurant Weinstein ordering her a vodka soda and asked her to drink it.

With her graduation on the horizon and her career possibly on the line, Nyong'o said she "didn't know how to proceed without jeopardizing my future. It felt like both a threat and a reassurance at the same time; of what, I couldn't be sure", she said.

"'I don't know about your career, but you'll be fine, ' he said". He placed it on the table beside my water. I wanted to keep things professional, so I made a point of referring to him as 'Mr. "But I made a quiet promise to myself to never ever work with Harvey Weinstein".

She later attended a staged reading of his show "Finding Neverland" with two of her male friends, and then a screening of 'W.E.' on her own.

While she thought there would be more people, she ended up being alone with Weinstein.

"The truth is out- let's finish what our incredible colleagues started and eliminate abuse from our creative culture once and for all", they concluded. "I have a private room upstairs where we can have the rest of our meal, '" she wrote.

I felt I could rationalize giving him one and keep a semblance of professionalism in spite of the freaky circumstance.

"Harvey told me that I needed to drink the vodka and diet soda". "I ran out of ways of politely saying no and so did my agent", she wrote. "He said he had dated Famous Actress X and Y and look where that had gotten them".
