Saturday's best moments were led by USC's Jake Olson, blind long snapper

USC Trojans long snapper Jake Olson #61 in the center of the frame, snaps the ball for the PAT in the 4th quarter. He was born with retinoblastoma, a cancer of the retina, and lost vision in his left eye at 10 months old. Pac-12 Networks' Ashley Adamson sat down with Olson to tell his story as he settled into campus during his freshman year.

Olson grew up a Trojans fan and became a constant guest of the team at games when the team was led by coach Pete Carroll, now the Seattle Seahawks' head coach. A pick six on Western Michigan's next possession would be the final nail in the Broncos' coffin. Getting to snap at USC as a football player.

Olson knew going into the game that if the opportunity presented itself, he might get a chance to snap.

"Of course you'll get bumped and stuff", Olson said, "but I'm at significantly less of a risk than putting a tight end or a receiver over the middle". "Then tonight I can look at videos and get all emotional over it".

"Hearing my name being called over the PA system".

"I was just screaming", Cindy Olson said. "I was like, 'Don't give him that pressure.' I would be scared, even though he isn't". He has worked out with the Trojans since 2015, enrolling at the school with a scholarship for physically challenged athletes and gradually persuading his USC coaches and teammates that his dream was far more than just a stunt.

He told ESPN past year that his goal was to eventually win the starting job for the Trojans.

Wearing No. 61, Olson sent a flawless snap back to the holder, which Chase McGrath kicked through the uprights for the final points of the game.
