One such player is Alexis Sanchez.

The Arsenal manager said several times he is ready to risk losing the forward for free next year but it seems he could backtrack on his decision.

The Chilean's contract with the Gunners will lapse next summer.

The big move of deadline day so far was a departure from Arsenal, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moving to Liverpool for £35m.

Wenger has stated that he wants Sanchez to stay, but is now powerless as the player has his heart set on an exit.

Pep Guardiola wants Sanchez adding to the ranks at the Ethiad Stadium and the player is reportedly keen to link up with the former Barcelona coach by making the move from Arsenal.

PSG could allow Draxler to leave this summer despite only signing him from Wolfsburg during the this year's January transfer window as they look to balance their books following the arrival of Neymar in a world-record €222m (£198m).

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the England worldwide winger and had been interested in him before he joined City from Liverpool in 2015.

So the situation is clear: if Lemar decides to join Arsenal today, then Alexis Sánchez will join City on a £60 million deal.

It's been well documented that some Gunners players want Sanchez out of the Emirates, but it looks like that's not going to happen after all.

However, time is seeming to run out with only under nine hours left for the window to slam shut. So much so, that the former Barcelona boss was said to have sent a delegation to Santiago where Sanchez is now on worldwide duty with Chile.

The word from England this morning is that City have not yet made their second bid, but are expected to before the day ends.

Defenders Jonny Evans of West Brom and Virgil van Dijk of Southampton have been linked with Manchester City, who have received a bid of more than £20m for Eliaquim Mangala from Crystal Palace.

A picture of Sanchez wearing Man City's home jersey against a green screen background started doing the rounds on Twitter.

Sanchez is now on global duty with Chile, although City have sent out officials who will be on hand to perform any medical duties necessary should a deal for the former Barcelona star come to fruition.
