Dragon Ball FighterZ Reveals Dragon Ball Super Saiyan Variations And New Storyline

Now there's even more of a reason to be excited about the game as a Dragon Ball Z fan, and it's the fact that the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Jump has just introduced a few new characters.

The first trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ dropped at E3 2017 and the 2D cel shaded fighter looked pretty impressive.

The four characters join the existing roster of nine playable fighters that now equates to 13, although two of the four are duplicate characters. These characters are Androids 16 and 18, and the#Super Saiyan Blue forms of Son Goku and Vegeta. Android 16 will also be a major part of the game's story campaign which serves as a "what if" reimagining of the anime. They\u0027ll also come with some signature moves at their disposal with Goku using 10x God Kamehameha to blow away enemies and Vegeta using Final Flash Attack to put an end to fights.

As for Android 16, he was not present in Future Trunks' timeline, and he was Doctor Gero's first creation before 17 and 18. The new story will bring unexpected events for "Goku and friends" depicted in "high-end animation".

The game is coming next year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so there's not long to wait before we can try out these fighters.

The Weekly Jump magazine revealed the game's story mode, and it will feature a "what if" scenario for the players to tackle.

The last translated piece of information comes 3 Vs. 3 online matches with different players controlling each fighter that can be switch out in real-time. A closed beta will run from September 16 to 18.
