Wolfsburg Enquire About A Loan Move For Anthony Martial

The winger is reportedly a top target for Jose Mourinho, but the Old Trafford boss has admitted he may have to lower his sights to three signings rather than his targeted three as United are unable to meet other clubs' demands.

However, Perisic's inclusion in the Serie A outfit's squad for their pre-season tour to China means any potential deal is now in doubt and the club's technical director has suggested they're awaiting for a suitable offer to be lodged.

United are said to be close to agreeing a £48m fee for the Croatia worldwide after prolonged talks with the Serie A side.

And Martial's cousin has added further credence to recent reports, claiming on Twitter: "I confirm the interest from Inter for Antho".

Inter are holding out for £48m and have also enquired about the possibility of United forward Anthony Martial being included in the deal.

Having broken onto the scene with a stellar debut campaign at Old Trafford in 2015/16, Martial's form took a significant dip this past season, with the 21-year-old managing just 8 goals across all competitions for United.

'However, he's focusing exclusively on Manchester United.

Usually when it comes to players who are linked with moves away, the club in question pulls them out of any games so they don't risk any injury which could stop a deal from happening.

Perisic, 28, is set to travel with the rest of the Inter squad on Tuesday but sources have told ESPN FC that United, who are now playing in the ICC tournament in the United States, are still confident of landing the Croatia worldwide.

Inter have also previously expressed an interest in United full-back Matteo Darmian, with United having offered the Italy worldwide to Inter as part of the Perisic deal.
