Suspect in road-rage killing of teen arrested

He suddenly pulled a gun and shot Roberson, who died on the spot. Hogan said the gun was a.40-caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic that Desper had legally bought in 2015.

A Delaware County man surrendered to police early Sunday in the shooting death of a woman during a road-rage incident in Chester County last week, authorities said.

He called the killing a "savage, senseless and brutal act".

Rodney Roberson, Bianca Roberson's father, told reporters that his family was stricken in the wake of his daughter's death.

Roberson's auto drifted off and struck a tree, while the suspect's vehicle, a red pickup truck, "took off like a bat out of hell", Hogan said.

Roberson, a recent high school graduate who had ambitions of studying forensics for a career in law enforcement, according to her father, was found dead in her auto, which had veered off the road and into a wooded area, Hogan said. "And unfortunately this gentleman took it to a degree that was just unconscionable", West Goshen Police Chief Joe Gleason said to CNN affiliate WPVI. Family and neighbors reacted with tears and shock Sunday after the announcement of the arrest of David Desper. Highway cameras reveal Roberson and the pickup driver had some sort of altercation minutes before spinning out of control.

Police in West Goshen fielded hundreds of tips from all corners of the nation.

"We are grateful to learn of one small measure of closure with an arrest in the untimely and tragic loss of one of our incoming freshmen, Bianca Nikol Roberson, 18, of West Chester, Pa".

"We just had the graduation for the school and the kids were so full of hope". The student had planned on moving from Pennsylvania to Jacksonville to attend college. "She was my life!" "It's good for us, but the objective is to show our support and connection to her no matter how big or small". An older brother passed away several years ago from a heart condition. They're going to get him.
