Boulder County's in for a cooler day today, with temperatures topping out in the high 70s under increasingly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service. National Weather Service meteorologist Robbie Munroe told LAist that the hottest temperatures will be found in the interior and Antelope valleys, and that the mercury will likely rise around three to five degrees a day through Friday.

The state Dept. of Environmental Conservation issued an air quality advisory for New York City on Tuesday, anticipating high levels of air pollution.

Temperatures will creep back up through the remainder of the week.
