Steelers NFL Draft grades: The Good, the Bad and the Okay

T.J. Watt, an outside linebacker out of Wisconsin, was taken by the Steelers with the 30th overall pick in Thursday night's NFL Draft, joining older brothers J.J. and Derek in the NFL. Watt got called into Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst's office.

"I wouldn't be shocked if he tries to outdo everything his family has done to this point", Colbert said. T.J. and J.J. will meet on the field as opponents for the first time when Pittsburgh visits Houston on December 25. Ramczyk's Saints will play at Lambeau Field in Week 7. "I hope the guys that we play against are sentimental". He could have taken his time rehabbing, sat out the rest of the season and prepared for the NFL.

Houston Texans star J.J. He was named first team All-American honors by Sports Illustrated and second team honors by The Associated Press for his performance in the 2016 season. With Harrison ahead of him, Watt has time to learn the defensive system without the pressure to succeed right away, but he can expect a bigger role as the season progresses.

The Texans' All-Pro defensive end said he texted Brown - they were teammates at Central Michigan before Watt transferred to Wisconsin - and offered some ideas.

Brian Allen is another addition to the defense that is looking to up it's game after causing Pittsburgh quite a few problems last season. "Overcoming a knee injury and a position change from tight end, Watt recorded 11.5 sacks in his only full season as a collegiate pass-rusher".

Did T.J. say anything at HIS dinner with the Steelers? Like his older brother, J.J.

Finally, as a sophomore, he finally got onto the field at Wisconsin following a switch to outside linebacker. In that game, Tomlin watched Watt play a "rover" front where he's floating over or around the ball, similar to how the Steelers ask their guys to play. "But from a football standpoint, the thing that really attracted us about James was not only his ability as a runner but as any runner will have to do, in our situation, obviously with Le'Veon, they will have to contribute on special teams".

The Steelers wanted to add a corner that was adept at playing man coverage and Sutton fits the bill.

You didn't think I'd forget to talk about that familiar last name, now did you?

"Everybody knows me as J.J.'s little brother, but people don't know the little things, the work ethic, the countless hours of film study", Watt said. "And that's why I can not wait to get to Pittsburgh and become my own person".
