Researchers To Look For CTE Evidence In Hernandez's Brain

Bristol Superior Court Judge Thomas McGuire said he thinks it's only fair that Hernandez's family, the government and the public know exactly how he died. According to Newsweek, Hernandez left one note for his fiancée, one note for his 4-year-old daughter and one note for his prison boyfriend.

Hernandez hung himself early Wednesday morning at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center, where he was serving a life sentence for the first-degree murder of Dorchester semipro football player Odin L. Lloyd.

Ward is pursuing a wrongful death case for her son against Hernandez's estate.

Inside the cell, investigators found three hand-written notes next to a Bible.

The family's attorney made the motion in a MA courtroom and a hearing is expected sometime Friday for a judge to rule on the request.

But, she acknowledged that his suicide had opened painful wounds and that she still feels a "tremendous loss".

Ward choked back tears as she described the profound grief and sadness she lives with every day since her son's death.

Should Hernandez's death qualify under that abatement law, it appears the Lloyd family will do everything in its power to not see that $6 million go to Hernandez's estate.

Asked if he believed Hernandez had any money actually left after years of litigation, Sheff replied: “Good question.

"I pray to God that his soul is at peace", she said.

Sheff said the vacating of his conviction would have no impact on their civil case against Hernandez.

Thompson didn't say when he'll file the request.

The Lloyd's attorney, Douglas Sheff, issued a "friendly challenge" to the Patriots, asking them to avoid a legal battle and voluntarily pay the family.

Douglas Sheff - who represents Lloyd's mother, Ursula Ward - addressed the media about "abatement". the law in MA that essentially erases a conviction if the person dies before he's exhausted all of his appeals.

The casket was driven from Faggas Funeral home in Watertown, Massachusetts where his body had been kept since the convicted murderer committed suicide in his jail cell before dawn on Wednesday.

Leontire also noted that Hernandez was able to hang himself with a bed sheet in his cell because no one checked on him between 8 p.m. and 3:03 a.m. If you need anything let me know, I will help you out if I can.
