Taste test of the Starbucks Unicorn drink which changes color and flavor

Starbucks has yet to formally announce that the highly anticipated Unicorn Frappuccino is due to hit stores this week, but employees around the country are already spreading the news on social media. A similar promotional Starbucks drink, the Pokemon GO Frappuccino, had 48 grams of sugar and 7 grams of saturated fat in a tall beverage.

The fairtytale-themed drink even starts off with a purple color but turns to a shade of pink with a tangy flavor once stirred.

Starbucks will officially unveil its colorful Unicorn Frappuccino this week, according to the company and social media posts by employees at Starbucks locations around the country. It is finally coated with whipped vanilla cream and topped with blue sour powder and sweet pink drizzle.

The drink, which debuted on Wednesday, is a "flavor and color-changing creation" made with pink powder blended into a mango creme Frappuccino and layered with a sour powder topping. The bright purple drink, with a blue swirl, is instantly eye-catching.

Coffee chain giant Starbucks has hopped on an internet craze for "unicorn food" by launching a limited edition iced drink in the US, Mexico and Canada.

The Starbucks description makes it sound like a Sweet Tarts, but why would I rob you of the chance to hear it straight from the source's mouth? Some who have tried it say it's incredibly sour, while others say it tastes like Skittles candy.

Starbucks reportedly used to sell trenta Frappuccinos, but no longer does - probably because 31 ounces of the sweet drinks would be probably be pretty irresponsible.

But some Twitter users were a little more scathing about the concoction.
