Rick and Morty Season 3 Release Date,Details

After a series of tweets about the delay of the new season by Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon, he concluded with an April Fool's surprise - an all new episode. Viewers are advised to get their adult sci-fi fix of mad scientist Rick and his grandson Morty while they can. The season was expected to premiere sometime during summers this year but the makers chose to release the first episode a bit too early. So fans will have to wait for a little longer.

While the premiere seemed like one big April fool's joke, many eagle-eyed fans believe the release actually make sense, taking into account what Mr. Poopybutthole indicated in the previous season. A new teaser for the show also confirms that season 3 will air this summer on Adult Swim.

The new episode addresses the cliffhanger ending of season two, but it may be hard to catch it from the beginning on the stream. Since it debuted in 2013, the Adult Swim series has become a cult hit, and it's hard not to be deeply invested in the show's characters. But if you've already seen the episode or don't care about spoilers, we'll explain. The episode opened with the Galactic Federation attempting to draw out Rick's secrets by going inside his mind.

For those who either missed the premiere or want to rewatch it, you're in luck.

You'll likely land on the video stream in the middle of the episode.

Only the prank was that they really were releasing the episode. Morty will be seen spending most of his time trying to convince Summer that Rick can not be trusted. Right now, the Adult Swim streaming website is airing a marathon of every single episode leading up to the third season premiere.
