Minnesota police department's hilarious 4/20 tweet goes viral

A police department in Minnesota is poking fun at its 4/20 preparations.

On Thursday morning, the Wyoming Police Department tweeted that it would be setting up "discreet" traps throughout the city to catch stoners.

The department received similar attention past year when its Twitter post was of "munchies" being used as a trap under a cardboard box propped up with a stick.

The trap is made up of junk food, like Doritos and Cheetos, Mountain Dew soda and a pair of video games.

Anyway, WPD chose to have a little fun and tweeted out a photo with a sarcastic message that has gone viral. "Discreet traps have been set up throughout the city today" and is trending on Twitter.

While the tweet is generating plenty of chuckles and more than a few gut-busting comments, Wyoming Police admit there is a serious side to the issue, as well. Also pictured were a police vehicle and officer standing by with a net.

The Wyoming Police later tweeted that it is attempting to use humor to bring attention to substance abuse issues.

Here is a picture of their tweet from a year ago on April 20th. "That does NOT mean jail time".
