Actor Kit Harrington arrives for the world premiere of the television fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" series 5, at The Tower of London, March 18, 2015.

Previously directed season 5's highly controversial "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" and the first two episodes from season six, "The Red Woman" and "Home".

While the season 6 finale laid out that Ned Stark definitely didn't father Jon Snow, Jon's actual father was left unnamed. However, the HBO team behind the show has revealed confirmation on the fact that Jon Snow is a Targaryen. He called her an ugly pig or something worse, and I said, No you can't, you can't call her that. Jon's chances of ruling Westeros could be slim in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. According to Littlefinger, eyebrows were raised at a tourney hosted at Harrenhal when Prince Rhaegar Targaryen rode past his own wife, Princess Elia Martel, and presented his winner's crown of winter roses to Lyanna instead.

The season six finale, which set a record in Australia as the most watched program in subscription TV history, confirmed Snow was not the bastard son of Ned Stark but rather the son of Ned's sister Lyanna. He kidnapped Lyanna Stark after falling in love with her - which Robert Baratheon (Cersei's husband from season one) who was meant to marry her.

Who needs mates and the pub when you've got a pre-programmed personal Game of Thrones troll in your pocket? Like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop, we may never know. It is, however, unclear whether Jon will know about this secret in season 7, since the only person to know this Bran Stark who is hundreds of miles away. Since it focuses exclusively on characters involved in the Tower of Joy scene, we don't know if another parentage theory - that Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) is the son of Mad King Aerys and Joanna Lannister - is true.
