Microsoft announced that its free Windows 10 upgrade offer will end on 29 July, and has urged users to upgrade before this date.

After an update, administrators can no longer prevent their users from accessing the Windows Store on Windows 10 Pro.

"Windows 10 Enterprise is our offering that provides IT pros with the most granular control over company devices", the tech giant said in a statement.

Windows 10 is now running on 300 million active devices across the world.

In honor of the operating system's first birthday, Microsoft plans to release an Anniversary Update, which will include improvements to Cortana-the company's voice-activated personal assistant-and drawing functionality with Windows Ink. Microsoft published a Windows 10 feature roadmap last month, and it's now been updated with confirmation that extensions support is coming to Edge on Windows 10 Mobile.

If you are yet to avail the free upgrade to Windows 10 then you should hurry as the promotion will expire on July 29.

That figure likewise puts Microsoft about 33% of a path to its objective of achieving 1 billion Windows 10 users inside the initial 2-3 years of discharge. Developers will be able to submit new extensions to the Windows Store, but we'll have to see what compatibility looks like and how much developers jump on this. The license to upgrade to Windows 10 will be available approximately 8000 although the OS will be sent with new devices. It is now available in a range of Windows PCs, laptops, tablets and mobile phones and will also feature in HoloLens and Xbox gaming consoles unlike previous versions of the operating system.

It's not hard to step up your PC's software from Windows 7 or 8.1 to the latest version.

With the highest customer satisfaction of any version of Windows, he said that, "we want everyone to enjoy the benefits of Windows 10".

At the moment, the differences in the back end of these services mean, for example, Mac Outlook users cannot create shared calendars whereas Windows users can.
